About Gamma Epsilon Delta
Established in 1937, Lambda Alpha Epsilon has created a brotherhood amongst Law Enforcement personnel for 75 years. ACJA-LAE has always sought to improve criminal justice through educational activities and promote an attitude of professionalism amongst its members. LAE boasts many famous individuals such as August Vollmer, O.W. WIilson, and former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. Located in northern California, the Alpha chapter of LAE convenes a national convetion for member competition.This competition gives members the opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in the Criminal Justice field. Students and professionals alike compete in various fields such as Academics, Crime Scene Investigation, Physical Agility and Firearms. This convention also gives students the opportunity to meet Law Enforcement Agencies and network for future careers.
Gamma Epsilon Delta is the local ACJA-LAE Chapter located at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Additionally, Gamma Epsilon Delta is located within the great Region 3. GED has achieved a high level of excellence with an unprecedented "Decade of Dominance." GED has successfully triumphed in 11 consecutive Regional and 10 National competitions accounting for 22 percent of all National victories. The goal of GED is to engage students interested in Law Enforcement and help them succeed in Criminal Justice. GED has a long-standing relationship with the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Central Missouri and attributes our success to their hard work as well as our members dedication. Many former GED members have gone on to outstanding careers such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations and other law enforcement agencies with the knowledge and skills they obtained from being a part of LAE-GED.
